As part of its activities, TU Dortmund University supports pilot providers in organising and facilitating regular co-creation workshops across the pilot regions. These workshops represent an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders and end users, ensuring that their needs, expectations and local contexts are systematically integrated into the project’s solutions.
In parallel, the TU Dortmund University team has developed the methodological framework guiding the co-creation processes and systematically analysed the results emerging from the workshops. In close collaboration with the technical partners of the consortium, these insights have been incorporated into the development of the DR-RISE App, contributing to the design of a solution that prioritises usability, accessibility and user experience.
To further strengthen citizen engagement, TU Dortmund University is also developing dedicated training materials covering key modules such as energy literacy, DR-RISE solutions and social aspects related to energy communities and demand response. These materials aim to empower users not only to participate in the co-creation process but also to effectively engage with the DR-RISE tools and services.
By embedding co-creation as a continuous and structured process, DR-RISE ensures that its solutions are not only technically robust, but also socially relevant and genuinely user-driven.
