CTIC has successfully launched the DR-RISE pilot in the rural energy community of Peón, Spain—one of the three pilot sites of the project. The installation process began in December 2024 and resumed in January 2025 after a holiday break. Final adjustments, including calibration and device installation in the homes, were completed in early 2025. As a result, all participating buildings—including five homes, a school, and an office—are now operating within the DR-RISE framework. This marks a key milestone toward implementing demand response solutions tailored to rural, residential contexts and provides a real-world testbed for evaluating flexibility in low-density areas.
