The recent establishment of the National Association of Energy Communities marks a significant step forward in promoting flexible, sustainable, and inclusive energy systems across Greece.
Since 2018, energy communities have empowered citizens to produce their own energy, and now, with new tools like virtual net-billing, dynamic tariffs, and storage solutions, this movement is set to enter an even more dynamic phase.
This is precisely what DR-RISE project is working towards: testing innovative incentives with over 130 households. The creation of the National Association, representing 20 communities and 3,500 beneficiaries, further strengthens collaboration and advocacy efforts.
We are thrilled to collaborate with Electra Energy, a key partner in the DR-RISE project, as we continue to drive the transition toward a democratic and clean energy system in Greece and beyond.
