📢DR-RISE project has officially begun!
The DR-RISE project is a multidisciplinary project that will leverage the experience of the consortium partners in techno-economic, social, and systemic fields.
DR-RISE will provide the users with a smart node-based architecture to interact with innovative demand response approaches and to provide flexibility considering all the assets at their disposal without disrupting their desired comfort level.
Such an architecture will consider not only the end-consumers but also the needs, requirements and constraints of other agents involved to enable residential DR from the market point of view.
Furthermore, the DR-RISE solution will be enclosed in a privacy and security framework and continuously interact with the end-consumers to foster their participation.
Ultimately, the feedback and interaction between the agents mentioned above will lead to flexibility capacity to reduce the burden on the grid during demand peak times.
On a global scope, all of the above will result in positive economic flows for both parties that can, in turn, be used to increase the penetration of RES to achieve the ambitious goal of a decarbonised economy. The pathway towards the proposed solution has been adopted after analysing the current challenges of the sector and the expertise of the consortium in a myriad of fields such as IT, energy, legal, cybersecurity, privacy or SSH, as well as their contributions in previous private and public projects related to the current domain.
The main DR-RISE objective is to accelerate the adoption of DR programmes by the final consumers, providing the necessary digital instruments and knowledge to empower them to become active players in the energy market and enhance their benefits without disrupting their lifestyles.
